Plant Journey with Tommy Priester

Come join in the magic of Plant communication and ceremony. Journey with your animal guide and meet the spirit of a specific healing plant as we are guided in four shamanic journeys:

1 - Meet and work with your Power Animal
2 - Meet and learn from the plant of the night
3 - Experience the energy and properties of the plant as a tincture
4 - Access the spiritual teachings and healing energies of the plant as a flower essence, as it interacts in your consciousness.

Mushroom Propagation Workshop

Join Paul for some fungal fun! In this workshop you will be inoculating oak logs with shiitake spawn, waxing them and giving the mycelium time to colonize the wood to produce healthy and happy shiitake mushrooms the following summer. You will go home with the log you inoculate, find the perfect spot to place your log while the mushrooms get ready to fruit, and then harvest shiitake mushrooms two or three times a year for three or more years. There will be step by step hands on instructions to create these mushroom logs, and demonstrations of how to inoculate other types of mushrooms into wood will also be given. Learn about the historical uses of these different types of drinking vinegars, practice the different preparation methods firsthand, uncover the basics of herb formulation for vinegars, and see creative applications for drinking vinegars in your daily life. Ayurvedic Oils and an introduction to the 3 Doshas, the Vedic Paradigm of Herbal Medicine

Explore the Vedic system of herbs, health, and wellness! Learn the basics of the 3 doshas (elemental body types) in Ayurveda and the Vedic method of creating an infused oil via double decoction. In this 4-hour workshop you’ll explore how the 5 elements manifest as the 3 doshas in the human body, which dosha is your primary, and what that means for creating balance in your life. You’ll gain an understanding of how the elements weave and work together in your body, and an increased ability to detect imbalance. You leave with a better understanding of your physiology, tips and tricks on creating balance for yourself, and a bottle of the oil that we make during the workshop. 

Recommended for people who enjoy working with herbal oils (and want to work with them more!), cosmetics, and those who want to better understand the role of the elements in herbal medicine.

Herbal First Aid

In this workshop, Tommy will present information for many acute/emergency issues, from skin rash to broken bones and will cover what herbs to use for specific first aid cases. Using the tissue states, humors, and true stories from his work, Tommy will walk you through a few scenarios and how to mitigate the issues at hand. You will also walk away with a list of recommended herbs to have in your first aid kit. If time allows there will be a medicinal plant walk.

Tea Making for Donation Workshop

Date: January 24, 2026

Location: Stone Church, 14 Bedford Rd in Lincoln, MA

During this opportunity attendees spent time with other herbalists learning about the properties of each herb, how these herbs work together, and what makes a successful tea. All the while knowing that they were helping those who may not have access to these beneficial herbs. No prior experience was necessary, just a desire to learn more about tea formulation and to give back in a way only herbalists can!

Tea formulating was under the guidance of herbalist Tommy Priester and focused on common challenges such as insomnia, stress, and pain.
